I believe there is a big difference between information and knowledge.
The world today is abundant with information. Everyone can know anything with just a click.
BUT…
Applied information is knowledge and knowledge is power!
Knowledge makes you valuable
Knowledge allows you to create art and build businesses
Knowledge helps you change your life for good
Information is only valuable in half-assed debates with your friends - It makes you feel good about yourself and that’s the only thing it does!
Yes bro - I get it!
You know how to build businesses
You know what stocks are going to go up
You know what is going to be the next big thing
Are you still broke, fat, and miserable?
Why?
Because you don’t ACT!!
Information is like a notification you get on Instagram when someone likes your video - No substance, no real value. It is a vanity metric in the game of life.
ACT FAST, FAIL FAST
You already know what you need to do:
To build a business
To start writing
To learn a skill
But you still don’t do it because when you act on something - You change.
and unfortunately, humans don’t like change because change is uncomfortable.
If you act on just 1% of the information you consume your life will change for good.
Act Fast, Fail fast
The irony is that - If you are trying to avoid failures, you have already failed!
Failure is inevitable, failure is how you get better.
The faster you act. the faster you fail
The faster you fail, the faster you get the insights required to win
And if you keep applying the insights without quitting - You eventually win!
You will see people around you - who try to avoid failure all their life, then they turn 30 and fail.
Now they have 1 failure under their belt, and they don’t have the insights required to win.
So they have to choose the safe mediocre path - They are left with no choice.
This should scare you!
SELF-SABOTAGING
Humans have this weird characteristic of doing things knowingly, and unknowingly that keeps them away from their goals.
You will notice this in your life after you have taken care of basic self-improvement concepts like - Discipline, Clarity, and consistency.
You will notice that you know what you have to do still you don’t do it!
This is because:
You Fear change
You fear success
You fear uncertainty
This might sound absurd to you and I don’t blame you because you still have to get your basics sorted. You have to have a clear goal, you need to understand the value, and you need to get clarity about your life.
Once you have your basics sorted and you still don’t put in the action - that is self-sabotage.
You have to realize this and be aware of your evolutionary, emotional brain.
Being aware of why this is happening is enough to get past these unnecessary mental blocks!
Remind yourself that you deserve everything.
The world is yours and you must put in the actions to take over!
