👋 Hey, it’s Zohvib. Welcome to my weekly newsletter where I share frameworks of proven ideas to become smarter and healthier. If you’re not a subscriber, here’s what you missed this month:

There are a bunch of reasons why you would’ve decided to enter the world of writing; but I’ll just state the 2 main ones here:
You love to write & want to explore this career
You’re broke & you need money
You could either have both the reasons or maybe one of ‘em.
But let me shatter your hopes.
You will never be able to earn more than $1000. And I’ll tell you why.
I’m a ghostwriter who has worked with 30+ retainer clients to date. So from my professional understanding & experience, let me tell you this:
You’ll fail as a writer if you only love writing or are only looking for $$$.
Why?
Loving your career is very important. But this eventually wears off.
I loved to write, & I would spend hours each day writing.
Until I started doing it professionally.
Writing for yourself, & writing for clients are two completely different things.
Accountability screws the shit out of your creativity.
These days, even looking at my keyboard gives me eye sores. Why? Because all I’ve been doing for the past several months is…write, edit, write, fix, write, edit, write.
And trust me, it’s soul-sucking.
It’s not just about writing; any profession that you choose will eventually wear you off.
So if you ‘love’ writing, don’t take it up as a career. You won’t love it anymore.
Secondly, if you’re only writing to make quick money, then you’re doomed too. Because you’ll lose purpose, & eventually you’ll burn out.
Your heart & brain will shut down the moment you don’t reach your expected monetary goals.
And these will not help you earn more than $1000. You’ll slog your a** off for nothing.
Advice Time!
At the start, you need some experience with writing. So start doing gigs from wherever you can.
This journey will be tough, so hold on tight. You’ll face a lot of difficulties & rejections.
Once you’ve gained enough experience & skills, for say 5–6 months, branch out.
Get into business mode rather than freelancing mode. Start doing more & more cold outreach & focus on acquiring clients.
But don’t do the writing yourself. Instead, start hiring other writers to do your job. You should focus only on the operations part.
Or you could branch out to coaching.
Trust me, this will be a lifesaver for you. You won’t have to spend hours sitting in front of a screen, typing away your life into misery.
Acquire skills → Acquire experience → Turn into a solopreneur & hire others to do the writing + Coach other writers → Earn crazy profits.
Thanks for reading! I hope you found this edition of my newsletter useful.
All the best,
